We feel it is important to get your initial rating from a DUPR coach
If you get your rating from initial play in DUPR leagues or tournaments, the first time you play you will end up with a rating based on who you play with, against, and what the final scores were. The chances of that being close to your actual rating are extremely small and you could spend months playing DUPR events to correct your rating.
